Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies

½ cup of packed brown sugar
½ cup of white sugar
¼ cup of margarine or butter
¼ cup of shortening
½ cup of plain nonfat yogurt
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of baking soda
½ teaspoon of salt
2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease the cookie sheets.  Cream the brown sugar, white sugar, margarine and shortening together in a medium bowl until light and fluffy.  Stir in yogurt and vanilla.  Mix the flour, baking soda and salt.  Stir into the creamed mixture until incorporated, then blend in the chocolate chips.  Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart into the prepared cookies sheets.  If done, bake in for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.  Cool for a minute on the sheets and transfer on the wire racks to cool completely.
